How My Journey Began

Certified Integral Coach & Enneagram Practitioner

Integrative Empowerment!

It is my desire to help others as they work through various transitions in their lives; empowering them to believe in themselves and take the action they need to live the life they uniquely design for themselves.

Tamra Evangelista had the life expected of her until it was no longer what she expected.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Tamra Evangelista graduated from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Penn., with a dual major in psychology and gender studies. Following graduation, she worked in her field of studies and then sold automobiles, which neither worked out in the long run. She finally found what she thought was a successful career in customer service at a national payroll company. Tamra rose to the management and leadership level. She married and bought a house. She checked all the boxes on how to be a “successful adult.”

While fulfilled in her professional career, Tamra’s personal life was crumbling. In 2012, she fell ill with a life-threatening kidney infection followed by complications and the ending of her 12-year relationship with her husband. The following year, she accepted a management promotion and relocated to Boston alone.

Throughout the next five years, Tamra excelled in her career, receiving multiple promotions. Yet, she found herself more and more unfulfilled in her job. She struggled to find new, “true” friend connections and found the dating scene distasteful. She felt strongly something needed to change but did not know what. Her career was on track, but she was growing weary of it needing a change.

Tamra began working with a financial wealth coach to organize her finances and save for financial independence. Through this relationship, she secured a job as an accountability coach with her financial coach’s company. For four years, Tamra worked as a part-time coach. Through this experience, she discovered coaching and developing others was very fulfilling. As a manager at her full-time job, she enjoyed coaching and developing her employees because she was helping them improve their skills and assist them in creating a career and their own development plan.

In 2016, while on a business trip, Tamra was in a very severe car accident in Chicago, taking a few months for her to recover from the injuries. Later that year, Tamra’s boyfriend of 20 months unexpectedly passed away. Moving into the new year, Tamra found life extremely difficult, and she could feel the fragility and shortness of life with everything she did.

In August 2017, Tamra went to Costa Rica on a yoga meditation retreat and met a significant individual who would help her create a safe space to explore what she wanted from her life to be happy. In 2018, Tamra took a leap of faith, moved to Idaho with her new partner, and became engaged. In August 2019, after 16 years in her career, Tamra resigned from her company to start a new career as a coach and opened her practice, Inner Depths Empowerment Coaching.

You will find her skiing, rock climbing, hiking, or, when on the coast, snorkeling and/or paddle boarding. She volunteers regularly at the local no-kill animal shelter, where she especially loves helping with the cat side of the house. She loves to snuggle at home with her husband and her two cat-sons, Cal & Hobbes. Additionally, she loves to cook, drink wine (self-proclaimed connoisseur), read murder mysteries and fantasy novels, or watch science fiction movies (slight obsession with zombies).
